The Malta International Food Festival: 6th - 8th May 2016

Malta's unique fortified medieval city Mdina will be hosting the Malta International Food Festival, 3 days gastronomic alfresco eating and drinking as well as family fun entertainment.

Over the recent years the festival has managed to attract attention from thousands who have visited the festival to taste the food from over 10 international cuisines. An estimate of 17,000 people attended during the 2015 edition.

During this festival, patrons can indulge in freshly-prepared food. Desserts and surprises, together with live cooking shows and spectacles, are the order of the day. Designated food areas are carefully decorated to give the visitors the opportunity to virtually transport themselves to the countries and regions being depicted through the culinary expertise of the chefs.

During the event, patrons are entertained with live performances on two different stages offering the likes of Malta's finest artists to complement the atmosphere. Children will also have their share with activities including bouncy castles and ongoing animation.

The way it works is easy. Entrance is free of charge; patrons can purchase tokens and redeem them for any food they desire. Drinks, including a verity of quality wine, will be available for purchase at the event location.

This year we will also be serving breakfast on Sunday morning as early as 7am while one can also visit one of the museums operated by Heritage Malta at Mdina and Rabat for half price on Sunday.

The Malta International Food Festival is being held on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th from 18:00 onwards and on Sunday 8th May all day.

Park and ride service will be made available from the surrounding roads leading to Mdina and buses are available on schedule.
